THE REVEREND LE ROY LADSON JR., PASTOR

On June 4, 2004 God blessed us with our Pastor, The Reverend LeRoy Ladson, Jr.  Rev. Ladson is a native of New York, where he was educated in the Roosevelt, Long Island Public School System.

From his birth to his calling, Reverend Ladson worshiped at the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Freeport, L.I.N.Y.  Upon answering the call to preach in March of 1988, Reverend Ladson knew that if he were to serve this present age, he would have to "study to show himself approved."
In May of 1988, He preached his first sermon entitled, "Losing All Things & Gaining Everything (Philippians 3:13,14)."  In August of that same year, he went to Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Religion in 1993.  Feeling a burning desire to continue his education, he enrolled as a student of Turner Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Seminary, also located in Atlanta Georgia, where he received a Masters Degree in Pastoral Care & Counseling in 1996.

He started his Pastoral Ministry in the Sixth Episcopal District (Georgia),  where he served three years in the Augusta Annual Conference, while going to the I.T.C.  He was then moved back to the First Episcopal District, where he was the pastor of  Metropolitan AME Church in Philadelphia, PA.(Philadelphia Annual Conference). In March of 1999, Rev. Ladson was assigned to St. Stephen Community AME Church in Harlem NY (New York Annual Conference), where he served faithfully until being transfered to the New England Annual Conference, and being assigned as the proud Pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church, in Stamford, Connecticut.

Since Rev. Ladson's arrival in Stamford, he has been appointed by the Chief of Police to serve as a "Chaplain" for the Stamford Police Department.

Reverend Ladson also served his country for six years in the United States Army, & he has worked in various hospitals as a Chaplain.  He is also a member of the Masonic Order, and he is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. Reverend Ladson believes in family!  He is the father of Quentin O'brien Ladson.

He believes in the Prayer of Jabez..........
"Oh that  thou would Bless me INDEED, and enlarge my territory,
and that thy hand would be with me,
and that thou would keep me from evil,
and I would feel no pain!"

His favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5,6, and one of his favorite songs is "Oh Thou In Whose Presence!"

Rev. Ladson believes that a person MUST give their "TOTAL PRAISE"  whatever the situation may be.  He says, "I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from which cometh my help!"
